The Provincial Council of Pontevedra, with the production by EscénaTe, presents The voices of Soutomaior, a dramatised tour of Soutomaior Castle that invites visitors to explore its spaces through the different periods and characters that have left their mark on its history. Pedro Madruga and the memory of the Irmandiño revolts, the Marquis de la Vega de Armijo and the social and political environment of the 19th century, and María Vinyals offer an insight into the Castle’s transformation into a residence, a cultural hub and a place open to new ideas. By interacting with visitors and adding humour and elements from legends and moving moments, The voices of Soutomaior turns its walls, halls and gardens into a living, real-time stage.
